Different christian churches

Did you know that 37.5% of Christians live in the Americas? Additionally, Christians make up a third of the global population. There is, however, no single form of Christianity. Different Christian churches are recognized all around the world, as the history of Christian churches involves the addition of nearly 41,000 separate sects of this religion. Although different churches of Christianity all follow the same doctrine, they all choose to interpret the Bible differently, thus creating diverse practices.

How different are Christian churches? The main belief, that Jesus is the Son of God, is widely accepted by most Christians. However, different churches of Christianity follow separate ideas. Protestants, for example, do not accept the universal authority of the Pope, which Catholics do. Additionally, Lutheranism follows Martin Luther, who attempted to reform the practices of the Roman Catholic Church. As a result, Lutherans are devoted to his reformation ideals. Although each sect of Christianity practices its own worship differently, most believe in both Jesus and the New Testament.

Why are there different churches of Christianity? Information on christianity religion suggests that each church of Christianity chooses to follow different aspects of the Bible. As a result, followers tend to live different lives. The Bible can be interpreted differently, depending on which religion you choose. For example, there was actually no specific mention of the number of wise men that visited Jesus. Also, Mary, not Jesus, was granted immunity from sin, according to the doctrine of Immaculate Conception. Since Bible stories, such as these, can be understood in different ways, it has caused thousands of Christian denominations to form.

Believe it or not, the Bible is actually the most stolen book in the world. For the 2.2 billion Christians in the world, the Bible is a sacred book that contains their beliefs. Although each sect of Christianity interprets the Bible differently, most of them believe in Jesus. As a result, Christianity is split into numerous types of denominations. Research more here.

Huh, I guess I never really thought about this before. Now that I think about it, you are right… lutheran, catholic, protestant… they are all forms of christianity. I dont get it though, if they all believe in the same thing, then why bother splitting?
